Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

Our 6-day Morocco desert adventure begins with an early pick-up from Marrakech, either at the airport or your accommodation. We'll journey through the captivating High Atlas Mountains, crossing the stunning Tizi-N-Tichka pass and making stops to savor panoramic views of the breathtaking landscapes.

Our first destinations are the Kasbahs of Telouat and Ait Ben Haddou, the latter being a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a setting for numerous films and TV series, including Game Of Thrones. We then continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as "The gate of the desert." Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.

Overnight: Ouarzazate

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura (Kasbah Amridil) – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara – Overnight in a Luxury Camp

After breakfast, our journey takes us to the Atlas Studio, renowned for its role in famous movies, and the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Continuing southeast, we visit the Amridil Kasbah in Skoura, nestled amid picturesque palm groves. Explore the Rose Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival in May.

As we drive through the Dades Valley, we'll pause at a vantage point to take in the stunning Dades Gorges. Our journey then leads us to the magnificent Todra Gorges, a high canyon carved by the Todra River. You'll have free time for lunch and the opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscape. In the afternoon, we arrive in the Merzouga Sahara Desert.

Here, you'll embark on a camel ride across the sandy dunes, with a stop to witness a mesmerizing sunset from a towering dune. Your night will be spent in a luxurious desert camp, where you can enjoy Berber drum music, dance by the campfire beneath a star-filled sky, and savor a delectable dinner.

Day 3: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

A sunrise wake-up call is a must to witness the breathtaking desert sunrise. Enjoy breakfast and return to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver awaits.

Today, we dedicate our time to exploring the Merzouga region, a land filled with captivating sights, including sand dunes, a wild lake, fossil-rich areas, and lush oases ideal for outdoor activities. Our journey begins with a visit to an ancient eyeliner mine, followed by a visit to nomadic families living in handmade woven tents. Learn about their way of life while sipping traditional Berber tea.

Our next destination is Khamlia village, known for its Gnaoua music and captivating dance performances. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take a leisurely stroll through a palm grove. We'll also visit the wild Merzouga lake, often home to flamingos, before retiring for the night at a comfortable hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedars Forest – Ifrane – Fes

Following breakfast, we leave the desert to explore Rissani, once the capital of Tafilalet and still a bustling trading hub. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the Rissani souk before continuing to Erfoud, where you'll visit a fossilized marble workshop.

Our journey along the Ziz River provides a stunning panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. After lunch in Midelt, we venture into the cedar forest, home to the Barbary Macaques. Feel free to interact with these fascinating creatures as you explore the forest.

Our next stop is Ifrane, known for its cool climate, snowy winters, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname "Switzerland of Morocco." Finally, we'll drop you off at your Fes accommodation.

Day 5: Guided Tour Sightseeing Fes

After breakfast, we'll pick you up from your Fes accommodation for a day of exploration in this cultural and religious center of Morocco. Our journey begins with a visit to the Royal Palace gate before delving into the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your local guide will lead you through the Medina, allowing you to explore the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin mosque and university—the oldest in the world. Afterward, we'll leave the Medina to visit the Mellah, or Jewish quarter, before ascending to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of Fes. The day concludes with a return to your riad.

Day 6: Transfer to the Airport

After breakfast, we'll take you on a brief tour of Fes before dropping you off at the airport. This marks the end of your unforgettable Morocco desert tour from Marrakech.
